David Maxwell Walker CBE QC FBA FRSE (9 April 1920 – 5 January 2014) was a Scottish lawyer, academic, and Regius Professor of Law at the University of Glasgow. Visa mer Walker was educated at the High School of Glasgow, at the time the city's publicly funded grammar school, where he was Mackindlay Prizeman in Classics. He was the son of a bank agent who died when Walker was 14. His interests included motoring, book-collecting and Scottish history. He served as Governor of the High School of Glasgow from 1974 to 2001. … Visa mer WebbDavid Maxwell Walker was a graduate of the University who was appointed the first Professor of Jurisprudence in 1954 and was Regius Professor of Law, 1958 to 1990. He was Dean of the Faculty of Law from 1956 to 1959; Senate Assessor on the University Court from 1962 to 1966, and he was awarded an LLD in 1985.
